Biography

HeadAche, generally considered to be the greatest rock band of all time, was formed in England on the 1st of January 2015 by guitarist/vocalist Michael Button and vocalist/guitarist Johnny Bannister following their encounter with an alien being who came to Earth in a lightning storm and granted them the power to create rock music so dope it could potentially unite the human race and end all conflict, bringing about world peace.

The duo immediately began playing their guitars and singing together, writing music inspired by bands such as Ramones, Green Day, blink-182 and Fall Out Boy. They soon recruited drummer Joshua "Eduardo" Rooney and bassist Gregory "Gregzi" Conlin completing HeadAche's original lineup.

The band’s instantly recognisable alien lightning logo was emblazoned on the artwork of their debut self titled EP ‘HeadAche’ which was released on the 12th of February 2015, quickly outselling every other record in history. HeadAche then played their first live performance at the Horn in St. Albans on the 1st of July 2015. The concert broke the world record for largest ever concert audience. The fans could not contain their excitement and overcrowded the venue, with celebrations spilling out into the city streets. The world would never be the same again.

In early 2016, amidst struggles with the pressures of fame and superstardom, HeadAche regenerated. Conlin departed the band and was replaced by bassist Jay Majer, who was known for being the bass guitarist of extreme metal band Conform To Serve. Drummer Leon Parsons, known for being the drummer and percussionist for indie rock band Zen was brought in to replace Rooney. As this lineup, the supergroup HeadAche began writing and recording new material, with some of the songs being released as singles throughout the year. During this time the band would perform concerts showcasing the new material throughout Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and London. It was at this point that people actually began to worship the members of HeadAche as gods.

On the 5th of January 2017 HeadAche released their debut album ‘The HeadAche LP’ which included all of the singles released in 2016. Featuring songwriting from Majer, the album infused elements of hardcore punk, inspired by bands such as Bad Brains, Fugazi, Jawbox and Nirvana. The HeadAche LP sold 80 million copies in its first week. Much like the previous year, the band went on to play shows in support of the album throughout England, and in fact selling out huge arenas across the globe, whilst winning countless prestigious music awards.

In 2018 the band headed into the studio to record their second EP entitled ‘BrainPain’ produced by legendary producer Andy J. Davies (Soho Roses, S*M*A*S*H, Guns N Wankers). As well as some new songs, this EP featured some re-recordings of old songs. Stylistically this release blended HeadAche's sound with elements of heavy metal featuring riffs inspired by bands such as Black Sabbath, Helmet, Hum and Quicksand. Upon hearing the EP one reviewer coined the term "Punk Metal" in reference to the band’s sound. The EP release on the 6th of November 2018 was accompanied by a photo session with photographer Steve Gullick, and music videos for the songs ‘Take A Look’ and ‘Keep Me Hiding’ directed by Oliver Wilkes.

In 2021 following a music hiatus, HeadAche began experimenting with electronic music, incorporating elements of hip hop and R&B into their songs; inspired by artists such as Usher, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z and Eminem. Featuring collaborations with KING DOTTA, ChaCha Love and Vivid, the hotly anticipated second HeadAche album ‘SpacePunk’ was released on the 3rd of May 2022. By this point the members of HeadAche were unquestionably the most famous and beloved people in human history.

So where are they now? Lurking in the shadows of the studio, armed with their musical instruments, HeadAche are preparing to wage war against every other rock band on the planet with the greatest music ever heard. Be afraid, be very afraid.
